Tuesday July 21, 2015 Oceanside, CA

There was some rain this morning before we got up.  When the Cokers came in yesterday they were parked temporarily in a back in site.  This morning after Paul and Debbie left, the Cokers were assigned site #2.  They have different family members joining them over the next couple of weeks. After they got parked they unloaded and set up an entire outdoor kitchen and have several bicycles. They have completely filled their site.

I had gotten an order for an x-ray from the doctor at Oceanside Urgent Care.  I went to the nearest location on Vista Drive and had several x-rays made.  That was the extent of my activity in the afternoon.

Yesterday when we were visiting with the Cokers they recommended a burger place called Ty's Burger House on Mission Blvd.  We decided to go there for dinner.  Ty's is in the older section of town just off the Coast Hwy.  They had sidewalk seating, indoor seating and a patio with several tables.  The menu feature several specialty burgers plus burgers made with, Kangaroo, Buffalo and Elk.  We both had regular hamburger with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomato and onion  We split a basket of onion rings.  The burgers were good but very messy to eat.  I used up three napkins.  It reminded me of the advertisement from Carl's Junior. "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face!  I don't go to Carl's because of that ad. The meal at Ty's satisfied our desire to try a new place to eat when we visit an area.  The picture is from Ty's website, https://www.tysburgerhouse.com/.  What we got wasn't stacked as neatly as the one in the picture.

There was a little excitement at the park shortly after dark.  A tow truck arrived pulling a large fifth wheel trailer.  He didn't make the turn into the park and almost hit the wall by the driveway.  The driver had to back up into the street and the park staff opened the other gate for him to enter .  I saw the tow truck leave about an hour later without the fifth wheel.  I guess someone with a reservation had vehicle problems en route and had the trailer towed to their site.

We read and watched TV until bedtime.  As has been normal lately Gerri was in bed before me.  I called it a night at a little before midnight.
