Saturday July 25, 2015 Oceanside, CA

More loafing around the coach this morning.  We drank our coffee and caught up on computer stuff.  In the afternoon I took the Jeep to the car wash and had it cleaned up.  What with the rain, the dirt settling and the blooms from the palm trees it was pretty messy.  I also hunted and found a geocache while I was out, number 4890 for me.  It is still hard to walk so I went back to the coach.

This year the RV park has blocked off a section of the drive by the exit to the beach walk.  They call it Surfer's Curve and have tables and chairs set up.  They do some activities for the kids there.  Tonight was Luau night.  The area was set up with a Hawaiian theme.  We had reserved seats at a table.

I limped down there, we sat with a couple from La Habra and a family from Albuquerque. After a brief welcome  and a limbo contest for the kids, a buffet with BBQ Chicken, Mahi Mahi and Kalua Pork was served with salad, rice, fruit assortment and Hawaiian rolls.  There was cake for dessert.

Following dinner we were entertained by Hawaiian and South Seas dancing.  The dance group encouraged audience participation in  a dance and then a dance contest.  It was a fun time.  After things broke up, Gerri went and got the Jeep to drive me back to the coach.

Gerri won the centerpiece from our table.

Back at the coach some computer time and reading finished off the night.
