Tuesday July 14, 2015 Ocanside, CA

More staying off my leg his morning.  Staying off the leg is easy while we enjoy our coffee and computer time.  After that I would have rather been out caching.  Enough complaining!  This was a beautiful morning of sunshine, blue skies and mild temperatures.  I was reminded of   James 1:17:  "Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

Arlene, Gerri and Lois
At 2 we headed north to Dana Point to visit with Gerri's cousins Arlene and Lois.  Of course we get to visit with  their husband's Bill and Phil. Phil and Lois are from Fillmore, CA and are spending the night with Bill and Arlene.  Phil celebrated his 80th birthday this past Sunday. We spent some time over cheese, crackers and some fruit. More than a few pictures were taken before we went to dinner.  We drove in two cars to Sonny's in San Clemente.  Sonny's is our favorite Italian restaurant.  We eat at Sonny's at least once during every trip to this area, usually with Bill and Arlene.

Dinner was good as always.  We tried a couple of new dishes on the menu.  They were good but I will stick to the ones we have enjoyed in the past.  After dinner we said our goodbyes in the parking lot and headed back to Oceanside.

Me and Gerri

Later, we stopped at the CVS pharmacy to drop off a prescription and see if others were ready. They weren't, you see there are always mix ups when we transfer prescriptions to a new store.  After the stop at CVS, Gerri took me to a nearby cache that I had unsuccessfully before. Gerri found the cache right away.  This got a two year old DNF,  Did Not Find, off my list.

Back at the coach it was reading, computer, TV and more reading.  Unfortunately once I start reading, I have a hard time stopping.  I was up until 12:15 and then had a difficult time getting to sleep.

One of the things we talked about during our visit was our cruises, both past and future.  Bill related a phrase they had learned in Costa Rica, "Pura Vita."  It is used as a greeting and mainly a response to questions like how are you doing, meaning excellent.

Pura Vita!
