The Coker patio at a calm moment
Our last full day in at Paradise By The Sea.  The gloom cleared away by mid morning and it turned into a nice sunny day.  We had our coffee while catching up e-mail and Facebook.  I made a few phone calls to take care of other business and paid our property taxes to Clark County.  I also paid the final payment for our October cruise.

I had called in a prescription to the CVS in Carlsbad.  We decided that after picking up the prescription we would have a late lunch at Norte Mexican Restaurant.  Since the CVS was near a Costco store on CA-78 we went there for gas in the Jeep.  After gassing up Gerri drove me to a nearby cache.  Then it was on to Norte.

We sat on the patio and watched the people come and go at the Carlsbad Inn.  Gerri had a fish taco and we shared an appetizer plate that was a combo of the appetizer offerings.

Before returning to the coach, Gerri drove me south to Cannon Park to try to find a cache that eluded me in the past.  It eluded me again, in spite of Gerri's help in looking.  Maybe next year.

After their dinner we joined the Cokers for card games.  We played a game that Henry's son-in-law taught us, Scum.  We played several rounds and quit about 9:30
