We got up about 9 and fixed the coffee. It had rained some more during the night and the sky was overcast. By early afternoon the sky cleared and by 1:30 it was air conditioner time.
At 2 we headed for Kyle to see the kids. On the way we went by the Plum Creek RV Park. It wasn't up to even our lowest standards. There was only one site that would suit us. Before going to Curtis' we went on to Buda to take a look at the Crestview. This park is attached to an RV dealer. The only spaces we saw open seemed to be reserved for service or deliveries of RVs. I went into the office and was rudely brushed off with no vacancy remarks. I tried to explain that we didn't need a spot but was still brushed off.

We went on to Curtis and Dana's. When we got there we were greeted enthusiastically by Vanessa and Brandon. They were anxious to show us their new home. They have a large side and rear yard. The house is two story with three bedrooms upstairs and the master bedroom downstairs.
After Curtis got home we had supper. Later we went to the ball park to watch Brandon's Tee Ball game. Not much came to Brandon for fielding but he hit two popup flies over the heads of the pitcher baseman behind him.
We said our goodbyes after the game and went back to our RV Park.
Vegetating in Kyle

Shipwrecked! We got bad news after we got home. Gerri's mother called and had gotten word from Montyne that Hurricane Paul blew them off their anchorage and onto the shore. Good news is that Montyne and John were ok; another member of the crew injured his foot and was taken to a hospital. Personnel from the nearby Mexican Navy helped them get most of their belongings off the boat. Their plan at this point is to rent a car and drive to La Paz which is across the Baja peninsula. We have no word on the condition of the boat, except it is aground.

Tomorrow I have a doctor appointment in San Antonio at 9 AM, so I have to get up early.
