Following the Barkers

Friday, August 23, 2013, Decatur, IN

We were up at 7 and I started the coffee.  We knew Kevin and John planned to install the new leveling jack this morning, but didn't know if they were going to do the job inside the garage or where the coach was parked.  As it turned out we didn't have to move.

Kevin finished the work on the charging system for the house batteries.  We will see if we can park overnight without shore power.  The leveling jack removal and re-installation was a two man job and required me to help get the new jack in place, lift and hold it into position with a floor jack while Kevin and John got bolts into it..

Kevin briefed again on the operation of the genset on automatic.  He then did the hard part, at least for us.  He figured up our bill.  Between Spartan and Kevin's shop we actually got a lot of things done, both routine maintenance, repairs and modifications.

We decided that adjustment of the large slide out room and its topper awning couldn't wait.  After settling up with Kevin and hooking up we drove the 36 miles to the Fleetwood service center in Decatur, IN.
Adams County Courthouse, Decatur, IN

We got there at about 1:30 and I got our name on the drop in list for next week.  We really don't expect anything to open up until at least Wednesday.  The plan is to shorten some of the stops we planned working our way down the east coast to Ft. Lauderdale.

We had the left overs from Casa Rodriguez for dinner,  The meal at the restaurant was just OK, as left overs it wasn't that good.

Even though we don't expect work until later next week we didn't fully set up, we will have to dump the holding tanks in the morning.  After that we will put out the carpets, coffee table and other comfort items.

We were both tired and were in bed by a little after 10 PM.
