Chapel at Rippling Waters

We got up and went to Church in Pocatalico, a Church we had been to a couple of other times.  After Church we had sandwiches and headed into Charleston to visit cousins Eddie and Lottie.  We visited all afternoon and about 6 we went to the Cracker Barrel for super.  This was our first CB on this trip. We were back at Rippling Water before dark and just hung out until bedtime.

I did call Alan Howeth and talk to him for a little while.  We met Alan and Joan two years ago in Charlotte, MI, saw them again in Decatur, IN and then again in Oklahoma City.  I follow his blog.  Alan and Joan had been in South Fork, CO at the Fun Valley RV Park for a month or so.  Last week they went rafting on the Rio Grande.  The raft hit a rock and capsized, Joan was killed.  On June 20th they had celebrated their 42nd anniversary.  Alan is now back in Oklahoma City with their children and services will be held later this week.  We are so sadden by Joan's death.  She and Alan visited us last summer in Great Falls, MT while Glenna was in rehab for her broken hip.
