Tuesday, September 3, 2013, Romance, WV

It is really quiet here, we slept in until 8:30.  I fixed coffee and we caught up on internet stuff.  Gerri still wasn't feeling well, so we nixed the idea of going to visit the New River Bridge.  We hadn't planned to go into Charleston until early evening.  Tonight is Ed's Lions Club end of summer pool party.

Ed went to an appointment at the VA hospital in Huntington for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy.  He had a  retired doctor friend that was driving him there and back.  I called Lottie early in the afternoon and she hadn't heard from Eddie.  I did some quick math and figures with the procedures scheduled at 10 AM, procedure time and travel time it might be 4 or 5 o'clock before he was home.

I decided to go geocaching.  The closest cache was only 1.09 miles away.  But that was direct reckoning.  By road it was about 5 miles.  I went there; http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=de3a75b4-3a6f-4f5a-a21c-7567f1d7227b.  After the DNF I went on to find three other caches.

I went back to the coach about six and called Lottie.  She still hadn't heard from Eddie.  A little latter we learned that the hospital is keeping him there at least over night.  He had high blood pressure and was dehydrated.  The doctors want to run some more tests.

Gerri fixed a creamy pasta dish with chicken for dinner.  It was delicious.

TV, and computer time finished the evening at 11:30.
