Tuesday June 7, 2016 Branson, MO

Met up with some of my friends in the rv park
Today it was clear skies again.  We started the morning with our coffee. We spent the morning around the coach.  Gerri did several loads of laundry.

In the afternoon we drove to see Table Rock Lake.  There is quite a bit of development along the lake shore including a large state park with  several picnic areas, launch ramps and a RV Park with full hookups.  We saw one large marina and there is a river boat, the Dixie Bell that does tours with entertainment.

After seeing Table Rock Lake and having an early dinner at the Fall Creek Restaurant, we drove to the old downtown area.  http://tinyurl.com/gu5348y

A river runs through, well it looks like a river.  The map labels it as Lake Taneycomo formed by the White River.  Sounds Italian but comes from TANEY County Missouri. Like the Branson strip area where we are staying, the downtown has extensive development for tourists.  A large convention center, a Bass Pro shop, river boats, restaurants and more.

We made a stop back at the coach and dropped off the left overs from dinner. Tonight's entertainment was the Jim Stafford show at the his theater.  He has been preforming in Branson for 26 years.  We saw him in an one man show many years ago at Knott's Berry Farm.  He now appears with a band and a duo called Brother Brother.

Back at the coach we watched some TV and read until bedtime.
