Sunday June 5, 2016 Branson, MO

Sunlight and a clear sky this morning.  It wasn't as humid as we expected after all the rain.  We had our coffee and got ready to go to church.

The wonderful technology of iPhones.  We never found the nearby church that we attended on our last trip.  We did worship with a small congregation at the Eagle Rock Road Church of Christ.  There were about 20 members of the congregation and  a dozen visitors.  The church seemed solid in their presentation of the gospel.  Unfortunately all, but one preteen, were people our age.  That doesn't bode well for the congregation's future.  We at Oakey Boulevard need to be thankful for the numbers of our faithful youth.

By the time church was over some high fluffy clouds had moved into the area.  We returned to the coach and caught up on computer stuff and watched some TV.

In the afternoon I went geocaching and found three, DNFed one and passed on looking for two other.  The first month of our trip is behind us and I have found a total of 40 caches.

An unusual sight,blue sky
Our entertainment for the evening was Ozark Mountain Jubilee at the Grand Country Music Hall.  The main singers were members of the Bacon family, 27 seasons in Branson.  The band was great and played a mix of country music, blue grass and old time gospel.  I thought this was the best entertainment so far, even though it hasn't received good reviews on tripadvisor.  Gerri bought CDs.

Returning from the theater on a Sunday evening was quicker than other evenings. A lot of the venues are dark on Sunday and Monday.

Some TV , computer time and reading finished off the evening.
