Thursday June 9, 2016 St. Charles, MO

The day started with sunshine and a forecast of 90 degrees.  We didn't have any definite plans.  I made our coffee and a little later walked to the office to complete our registration.

I went out and found four caches, before going back to the park and picking up Gerri for a little sight seeing.  We drove to the old historic downtown area where we could see the Missouri River.  Missouri became a state in 1821, St. Charles was the capitol until 1826.  The original capitol building isn't there but the sight is marked and there are historic buildings there.

For dinner Gerri made a chicken sausage dish with rice and lima beans.  After dinner we made some preparation for traveling tomorrow.  We plan to drive to Dubuque a distance of 350 miles.  We need to stop for fuel and hope to find a truck wash to get the coach and car washed.
