Following the Barkers

Wednesday, April 17, 2013, San Jose Del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico

We started our day with coffee and taking advantage of the wifi.

At 10:30 we headed up to the lobby for our owners update, read that as sales pitch. We had a late breakfast. Our salesman reminded me of a coworker from years go, Craig Lovato. After breakfast we went to the arm twisting room where we were offered an up grade that would double our available usage and double our maintenance fee. After we turned that down another offer was made that didn't interest us either. For the hours time we got a free breakfast and a certificate for $100 toward a meal at La Panga in San Jose, actually $90 toward the meal because we had to pay $10.

After we got back to our unit Gerri noticed a leak under the sink in our bathroom. We called maintenance. While repairs were being made Gerri sat in the sun on the balcony and I read. The repairs involved several workman and at least two trips to a plumbing supply store. The banging and other noises extended into the early evening.

El Cardon from our balcony
While reading on the balcony in the late afternoon we saw a little whale action off shore a ways.  I also decided to take some pictures of what appear to be blooms developing on the  Cardon cactus that grows up past our balcony.  We are curios to see of the change over the time we are here.  We are also hoping they are really blooms and we will see the flowers.

The center bloom is the one we will watch closely

We had egg salad and avocado on tortillas for supper. I enjoyed the meal and the taste of the onions for hours afterward.

Tomorrow we may actually do something beside relax. Gerri plans to find out what activities are available at poolside, or the the adult pool where we have gone in the past and the pool nearest our unit.
