Following the Barkers

Sunday, June 1, 2014, Verdi, NV

It was another cool morning.  We did get up earlier because we wanted to be at Kathleen’s before 10.  We didn’t go to Kathleen’s until after we had our coffee and caught up on e-mail and Facebook.

The reason we wanted to be at Kathleen’s before 10 was that Sean wanted to tune into the net cast of services from Oakey Blvd Church of Christ.  In the last few months he has shown an interest in the Bible and Christianity.  I explained to him the order of the services at Oakey Blvd as the net cast went on.  His interest didn’t seem to stray until after the lesson by Randy.

Gerri, Kathleen and Milana left the house at about 1.  Their plan was to see the movie Maleficent at a 2PM showing.  Sean and I stayed at the house.  We played World of Warcraft on separate computers.  Sean wanted to get a new character for each of us built up to level ten then have duels.  He never counted on how long it takes me to level up.  Eventually he decided to play alone, so I sat near him and tried to master some of the features of my new iPhone.  Gerri texted me that they had to go to a later screening of the movie and they they wouldn’t be home until about 6pm.

At a little before 3pm I took Maddy to work.  She has a part time job at a nearby McDonalds.  She was to work until 8pm.

When the ladies got home from the movie they were raving about how good it was and said that I would have enjoyed it.  Kathleen then went grocery shopping but decided she didn’t feel like cooking.  She brought home supper from Taco Bell.

Shortly after eating Gerri and I said good night about 7:30pm and returned to the coach.  We did stop on the way at Chrystal Peak Park in Verdi.  We took pictures of the river.  The park is close to the RV Park and the Truckee River runs through it.

Back at the coach we weren’t up very long.  The internet connection from the park was non-existent and neither of the Verizon systems were much better.  So, it was Sudoku and then to sleep.
