Sept. 27, 2009

From the Apple Island Resort, South Hero, VT.
This was REALY a lazy day. Last night was windy, The flags were flapping like gunshots and there rain beat suddenly and often on the roof. It was still blowing and raining intermittently all morning.
We tuned in to the net cast from Oakey this morning. It’s good to see our Church family and worship with them even with so much distance between us. Torrey delivered a great message and we enjoyed the entire service without losing the connection once.
We weren’t all lazy. Gerri caught her blog up to date through our Pennsylvania stay and arrival in Vermont.
We were blessed with more rain this afternoon and this evening it started raining so seriously that we lost the TV signal. It was right in the middle of a John Wayne movie, Angel and the Bad Man. Oh well, the Encore Western channel repeats often.
Without TV reception we had to relearn how to use the DVD player. It’s real easy if you press the right buttons.
On the up side maybe the colder weather will hurry up those doggone leaves.

  1. It sounds like the weather is going to take a change for the cooler very soon. I hope you are not caught up there in Vermont in one of those early snow storms.

It will be cool here in New York too. We are going to tour a factory that makes aluminum cans for soda pop companies today. Later we hope to be able to tour West Point. It might just be one of the highlihgts of our trip!

Heard you are heading back to Decatur in October. We will be there in October or early November too. Perhaps our paths will cross there?
