Following the Barkers

Friday May 13, 2016 San Marcos, TX

I planned to sleep in.  I woke up at 7:40, but resisted getting up until after 10.  I made the coffee and we tried unsuccessfully to get on the park internet.  That was the deciding factor in moving to the other park on Sunday.

It was cloudy out most of the day.  A good day to be lazy.  We were.  We had a late lunch.  Gerri made braunschweiger sandwiches which hit the spot.

When we left the park we saw a trailer loaded with tubes coming back.  This section of the San Marcos River is very popular with tubers.

By a little after 6 we were at the Hays Sports Complex for Brandon's ball Game.  The first inning had already started.  Brandon was playing first base.  He made some good plays such as this first video.

At bat Brandon is one of the teams strongest hitters.  Like some baseball greats he did strike out once and he did get on base and scored a couple of times.  In the 3rd or 4th inning he took over pitching duties.  I thought he did well but Dana said he had an off day.  His team won the game 9 to 8.

After the game we went back to Curtis and Dana's and visited for awhile.  It was uncertain if Vanessa's team has another game on Saturday.  The time of Brandon's game was also in question.  We went back to the coach at about 10.
