Wednesday July 13, 2016 North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada

Breakfast group
With only 32 miles to drive today to North Sydney, we didn't rush to get started.  We drank most of our coffee while getting ready to travel.  The wagon masters served breakfast before the trip.

We stopped for fuel along the highway just before getting to Baddeck.  The station was on the left and there was a line and one lane was closed by a guy taking readings on the pumps.
Back on the road we set a leisurely pace.  Before arriving at North Sydney we stopped at an overlook that was quite scenic.  Later we would cross that bridge in the right side of the first picture.  Before pulling out of the view area we were flagged down by a man in a CTV news vehicle.  He had seen the Nevada license plate and wanted to interview us about our trip to Nova Scotia.  We explained about the caravan and a little of our itinerary.  Some of his questions were about what we enjoyed but the crux of what he wanted to talk about seemed to be the threat of some celebrities to flee the US if Trump is elected.  I had been asked this question twice before by locals I came in contact with.  We later checked the CTV website and none of our interview was there.  I guess it didn't play to the media concept of Americans fleeing a Trump presidency.

We arrived at the Arm of Gold Campground and RV Park at about 1:30 PM.  Our site was a grass pull through in a large RV park.  I set up outside and Gerri did some cleaning inside before getting everything set up.

When we got to Saint John, NB I had noticed that some diesel fuel had leaked down the right side of the coach behind the filler on that side.  There seemed to be more now.  I had filled using the filler on that side.  I hope it was just splash back from the pump when it shut off.  In the mean time I plan to put a new fuel cap on and only fill to the 3/4 full level.

It was a nice sunny day and I got carried away and cleaned the bugs off the windshield, That looked pretty good so I cleaned the entire coach.  This was the first time on this trip the coach was clean.  Not so the Jeep, it is covered with dirt and mud.

Dinner was pot luck at a barn turned meeting hall.  After dinner Valarie and Herb Bird put on an impromptu music session that lasted over an hour.

We read and listened to the radio before going to bed at about 10.  Even though we have a clear view of the sky our DirecTV system doesn't lock onto a satellite.
