We were up early and fixed our coffee. Gerri got the inside of the coach ready to travel. I took care of the outside. We were out of the park with the Jeep hooked up and on our way by 7:15.
Gerri took the two pictures of the San Faransico rive where it runs by the RV park.
We left Clifton on US-191 and then on AZ-75 until it turned into a New Mexico route. We picked up US-70 to Lordsburg, NM and then onto I-10.
With our change in travel plans, we traveled more miles and a longer time than we were used to. I missed the turn into a Pilot Station and entered the the interstate with 47 miles to go to Demming. We had a test of the Low Fuel warning system. I tried to turn around and return to Lordsburg, but the return on ramp was closed. Even though the manual says that we can go a hundred miles after the warning comes on we were sweating bullets by the time we got to a Petro Station in Demming.
We stopped at a rest stop just west of Las Cruces. Gerri fixed sandwiches and I walked to a cache.
We stopped for the evening in Fort Stockton, TX. Before going to the Fort Stockton RV Park http://fortstocktonrvpark.com/we stopped at the Walmart. Gerri picked up a few items while I bought fuel.
At the RV park we got all set up and found the power wouldn't run the air conditioning unit. After some time the park assigned us another space. To get to it I had to unhook the Jeep The new space wasn't much better, it wouldn't run two ACs, or even one and the microwave. It also wouldn't run one unit and Gerri's hair dryer.
So much for a simple stop for the night. We drove 480 miles today and have about 325 to go tomorrow. But today we lost 2 hours to time zones, which won't happen tomorrow.
