We left the RV park at 8:48, traveling west to I-17 and then South to Camp Verde. It was an elevation loss of 4000'. We then went east on AZ-260 to AZ-183 and onto US-60 to Globe. I tried to find a couple of geocaches in Globe but they were both missing. Part of the purpose of coming this way was to find caches in Arizona counties that I hadn't visited before. The best laid plans of mice and me, I didn't find one in Gila County. Further along in the town of Pima I found a cache, that one was in Graham County.
Our route took us by Theodore Roosevelt Lake in the Tonto National Forrest. We stopped once and took pictures of saguaros in bloom. The yellow trees are some type of Palo Verde

We arrived at the RV park in Clifton, AZ at a quarter till 5. They only had two spots for RV's our size which are actually just outside the park. This is a city run park and only cost $9.50 with a Passport America membership. After setting up it took awhile to cool down the interior of the coach. It was hot when we got here, quite a change from Flagstaff. Once the sun dropped behind the hills it cooled off and was comfortable. Our Verizon MiFi is very slow here. Since we are at the far edge of the park, the park wifi isn't all that good, but better than Verizon.
Gerri made dinner from some of the left over steak and potatoes from Black Bart's. She added a side of mushrooms. Another fine meal and we still have my left over steak for tomorrow.
We called it a night at about 10:30.
