Sunday May 8, 2016 Flagstaff, AZ

When we got up it was still cloudy and cold.  I made our coffee and we started drinking it before we went to Neva's at the Wyndham.  The day was much like yesterday with period of rain and always the moving clouds.

We got there before 10 and tried to tune in to services at Oakey Boulevard Church of Christ.  At first we couldn't get on line.  A text to Randy soon had the net cast going.  Neva's laptop is an older one and doesn't have much volume on the speaker.  To make matters worse, I forgot to wear my hearing aids.  The Internet signal was not consistent so some of the time we only had audio and I had to reconnect a couple of times.  Randy's message was a tribute mothers and encouragement to raise children along biblical principles.

After church Neva open her cards from us and John and Montyne.  She also opened her gift from us.  A new monogrammed Starbucks coffee mug.

We started an afternoon domino game.  Montyne called to wish Neva a happy mothers day and Curtis called to wish Gerri the same.  When the game continued Neva sailed on to an easy win.

Kathleen called from Reno to wish Gerri a happy mother's day.  They took the phone call onto Facetime and we all got to talk to Kathleen, Maddy and Shannon.  We also got to see Baby K.  She will be a year old next month and you could get tired watching her scoot around and climb on things.

At 4 we went to La Fonda Mexican Restaurant downtown.  http://lafondaflg.com/  We had an excellent meal.  Gerri and I both had the same dish and now have leftovers for another meal in a few days.

Back at the Wyndham, we had coffee while we played another domino game.  Neva won this one also.  Give the Matriarch her due, she is a determined skilled competitor.

We left Neva at about 7:30 with a care package of watermelon, bananas, cookies and other goodies that she didn't think she would use.  By the time we got back to the RV park it was not only still cloudy but a stiff wind had come up.  I decided not to unhook the utilities or hook up the Jeep until morning.   I know I will have stiff hoses to put away, but I am hoping the wind and rain go away.

I turned on the floor furnace, the electric side of the aqua-hot system, in the rear of the coach and set it on 55 degrees.  We also turned on the electric space heater in the front of the coach, the furnace in the front only works on diesel.

We have about 300 miles to drive, our destination being Clifton, AZ. We want to be on the road by 9.  I don't plan on fueling the coach before we get at least to Globe and maybe not until we get to Clifton.
