We had the Jeep loaded and left the house at 2 PM. The wind had come up and was with us after we arrived in Lake Havasu City. On I-215 the wind wad rocking the Jeep and Gerri had to pay attention to keeping in her lane. The strong cross winds stayed with us the entire trip. We did stop once at the Colorado River overlook.
We had decided to drive to Lake Havasu City via Kingman to enjoy the better road. We got to our site in the Havasu RV Resort at about 4:50 PM. The wind was blowing and the temperature was cooler than we expected. It reminded us of when we got here last month.
We took quite a bit of time unloading the Jeep and putting things in their place in the motorhome. We watched some recorded TV shows. We had apples and peanut butter for dinner. We had eaten just before leaving home. We didn't have tacos to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We didn't feel like driving downtown in the wind.
We were in bed by 10:30. We don"t leave for Flagstaff until Saturday morning. So, we have tomorrow to relax and get ready to travel. Gerri may go to a grocery store for a few items.
