Summer must be coming, it was several degrees warmer this morning.  It was still a good temperature for sleeping.  I got the coffee going and started on computer activities.  After having some coffee I headed out to find a few geocaches.

I had finally downloaded geocaches further away from the park.  I did six in the old part of Verdi, one at Cabela's and one at an overlook off the Interstate. 

After I returned to coach we got cleaned up and headed for Kathleen's.  It was kind of like Christmas for me,  Kathleen was finally able to get a couple of packages I was expecting.  She had lost her mailbox key and had to wait until the postman took the mail back to the post office before she could pick it up.  One was the second sets of Jeep and motorhome keys that we had forgotten when we left the house. The other was my Father's Day presents from Curtis and Dana.  They gave me some geocaching essentials.  A small mirror and magnet on a telescoping rod, a pen that rights in the rain, a weather proof notebook and a travel bug.

The plan was for an early supper at Louis Basque Corner in downtown Reno.  Only one of the kids, Shannon, wanted to go with us.  We got to the restaurant at a little before 5.

If you aren't familiar with Basque food and dining you should try it.  The menus in Basque restaurants aren't usually very fancy, meat and potato type food.  There are items on the menu that some of us don't experience often. The meals are served family style starting with salad, pinto beans and tonight a potato soup with Basque chorizo followed by ox tails.  Each diner orders a main entree.  Tonight Kathleen had Sweetbreads, Gerri and I had New York Steak and Shannon had Top Sirloin.  Shannon's Top Sirloin looked more like a Filet Mignon.  A huge dish of French Fries was served with the main entree.  For dessert we had vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup.  We enjoyed our meal very much and best of all we had plenty of steak and fries left over along with most of Kathleen's Sweetbreads.  Leaving the restaurant we saw a bus on a stick at the Reno Transportation Center.  Kathleen said it was a quarter million dollar piece of art.

Back at the house some of the leftovers were shared with Sean.  He wouldn't touch the Ox Tails and said the sweetbreads tasted like cardboard.  He did enjoy the fries.  

After he finished Sean was convinced by his mother that he had to get out of the house and go for a walk with.  After a lot of resistance and an agreement that he could do his household chores first, he consented.  We walked to the end of the street and across into a small park in the median of the main street.  I had my new iPhone set on geocache there.  I had given Kathleen the clue and she found it before Sean and I got there.

I suppose it is because of his accident, Sean is very apprehensive about crossing streets.  Kathleen and I found one more nearby cache while Sean returned to the house.

Not long after the walk Gerri and I packed up and headed back to the coach.  I checked my pedometer and saw that I needed a 1000 steps to reach my daily goal of 5000 steps.  I have made it twice this week and soon I have to step it up and set a higher goal. When we were at the Verizon store I bought Gerri a fitness tracker like mine.  I bought mine at Fry's a couple of weeks ago.  The trackers are called Vivofit and are made by Garmin.  The information on activities are uploaded to a Garmin website.  It is possible to connect with other people and compare activity and progress.  After Gerri went to bed I set up her account with Garmin. She can now start wearing the tracker, the tracker also has a watch feature.  We also bought interchangeable bands in different colors.

I called it a night at about 11:30.
