Today
is a sea day. We get to rest from shore
excursions. I slept in. Gerri got up and did our wash. We have many more cruise days before we reach
Elite status and our loyalty rewards will include free laundry. This cruise has many more Elite status
passengers than usual. Probably because
this is the maiden trans Atlantic crossing of the newest and largest Princess
ship.
Gerri
went to get her nails done in the early afternoon. I went on deck and had a slice of pizza and
an ice cream cone from Swirls. I also
read a little. At 3:30 we met back at
the cabin and then went to the filming of the Wake Show in the Princess Live
Theater. There were about 30 of us at
the filming. It was a lot of fun with
the Deputy Cruise Director Dan keeping things moving with jokes and give a ways. We didn't win anything...sigh..
We
went to the Princess lounge for hors d'ouvres.
Today was guacamole and chips plus the assortment of vegetables and
cheeses. The early seating dinner were
already dressed for the formal night at sea, so we felt under dressed.
After
getting dressed for dinner we had some photos taken at one of the positions set
up around the ship. We went to dinner at
our regular time. Our table was full and
most of us had lobster as a main course.
After
dinner we went back to our room. Tonight
we set our clocks back an hour. Tomorrow
is another sea day. We should pass
through the Straights of Gibraltar tonight at about midnight. Too bad I would liked to have seen that
during the day time.
