What a surprise, it was almost 9:30 when we got up.. not too bad I guess since I thought we only had to drive 200 miles, it was closer to 300.
We had our coffee and I hooked up the Jeep and unhooked the power cord. That was all I had to do outside. We pulled out of Indian Forest at about 10:30
Back on I-95 and headed south with 280 miles to go to Margate. We ran into rain a few times, heavy enough to slow us down and use the windshield wipers. We stopped at two rest stops but neither of them had a geocache.
We arrived at the Aztec RV Resort at 4:15 and checked in and were assigned to site 242.. We went to the site and unhooked the Jeep. The clerk had told me that we would have the section to ourselves until we leave but that the park will fill up by the time we return. We drove the coach back out on the highway and filled up with diesel. I didn't want to leave the coach for over a month with a partial tank of fuel. It will also allow us to get on the road on Nov. 1st with out stopping for fuel.
After fueling up we had to go several blocks to reach a point where we could turn around. Back at the RV Park we got set up. We got fully set up, hook ups, decorations in the coach and covers on the hitch equipment on both vehicles Since the motor home will be here until November 1st, I will also put on the wheel covers tomorrow. We will be flying out on the September 23rd and the ship docks in Ft. Lauderdale on October 27th. There is a shuttle service from the park to the airport, so we also plan to leave the Jeep here also.
I plan on talking to someone here in the park about watching the coach while we are gone, making sure the fridge is running and that nothing happens to the coach, etc.
All things considered this was a good day. Safe travel over smooth roads and not a very tiring drive. We had left overs from The Caddy Shack plus some cottage cheese and lemon drop melon for supper. Like most days TV and computer rounded out the evening
