Monday, September 9, 2013, Fayetteville, NC

We were up at seven and after having our coffee and putting things away we left Aquia Pines at 8:15.  I had done all the outside prep last night except the power cord, so things went pretty quickly.

Home at Lazy Acres
Our route for the day was 288 miles south on I-95 to Fayetteville, NC where we stopped for the night.  We did stop at two rest stops and I found three caches.  My first ones in North Carolina since August 2006.

A neighbor at Lazy Acres.
We arrived at the Lazy Acres Campground at a little before 2 PM.  This campground is more in the pines than the Aquia Pines RV Park.  The last 1/4 mile of the road was sand with some kind of hard base under it.  The thin layer of topsoil all through the park is a fine white sand that would be the envy of any beach.  Our site, as most sites, was in the woods and there was no satellite reception.  I hooked up to the park's cable with no results.  I guess it has been so long I forgot how to hook to cable.  After failing with the cable, I tried the off the air channels with the antenna.  We were able to pick up several Fayetteville stations.  We were also able to play some episodes of TV shows that had been DVR'ed.

We had left over meatloaf and the quinoa salad Gerri had made for last night.  We also finished off the hushpuppies from Tim's from Saturday night.

Tomorrow we are headed to Charleston, SC about 200 miles away.  We called it an evening after some computer and TV time.
