From the Apple Island Resort, South Hero, Vermont. N44º38.018’ W073°16.250’
We left Clifton Park, NY this morning at about 10:30 AM after getting our flu shots at Walgreen’s. I decided to go over to Vermont via roads that didn’t require a ferry ride. This meant state routes to US-4 and then north. We saw a lot of small town America in both states. Interestingly the roads improved once we got to Vermont. Since we weren’t on an Interstate highway for more than a few miles around Burlington, it took longer to get to our destination than another route. We arrived at the Apple Island Resort at about 3:00 PM. We we assigned a nice pull through site with full hookups including 50 amp service.
It was cold and windy when we got here. When I grilled the corn and chicken for supper, the wind had stopped so it didn’t seem as cold.
We will be here until the 9th of October, so we will see what the days bring. Hopefully we will see the leaves peak. Or is that peeking as the leaves peak.
