Cousins Kenneth and Peggy Barnhart
We had breakfast with Pamm and Mike before leaving for Roanoke. The drive away from Mike's Ranch was as dusty as the drive in. Our route for the day was through Fort Worth and we found a Blue Beacon Truck wash in Weatherford and stopped for about an hour to get the coach and Jeep washed. Blue Beacon does a pretty good job, but they don't dry things off. We went back on the Interstate and the water blew off or dried. The trouble is the water that blew off the coach landed on the Jeep. It still looked better than when we left Mike's.
We arrived at the Northlake Village RV Park in Roanoke at 4:45, the office was closed but we were directed by an employee to a site across the street, and that I could pay in the morning.

My oversight from Yesterday didn't seem to cause any problem.  I got lucky.

Our purpose in visiting the area was to see Gerri's cousin, Kenneth who lives in Ft Worth which is about 10 miles from the RV Park.
Peggy fixed manicotti, salad, garlic bread and squash for supper followed by a banana bread muffin with ice cream which was excellent. Donielle, their daughter, also joined us for dinner. They have a beautiful view of a large pond behind their house.

We visited for awhile after dinner and returned to the RV Park. It was a very nice evening with family members.

  1. I am glad to hear that you are doing fine and that your travels to date have been uneventful.

  2. Mostly uneventful. Towing the Jeep though grass and gravel for about a hundred yards with out the transfer case being in neutral didn't seem to cause any damage. It could have been a costly mistake. From now on I will remember your comment and stop hooking up when a conversation starts.
