From the Trailer Inn, Bellevue, WA N47º34.603 W122º8.034
Today was the big day, Kayla’s graduation. We were up at seven to meet the other family members at the University Inn at 10 AM. We met Kayla’s dad who arrived from the airport and the picture taking started in front of Husky Stadium, by a husky no less. I have attached a couple and the rest are on Facebook. Of course we then did the obligatory shopping in the Husky shop. We took our seats in the stadium at about noon. The ceremonies didn’t start until 1:30 and weren’t over until about 4:30 PM. All that time we were in the sun. After all the introductions Bill Gates Sr. was the featured speaker. The only names called as the graduates walked across the stage were the doctorial candidates. The rest, including Kayla, were presented as a group according to which school from which they earned their degree.
After the ceremonies we all met back at the University Inn while Kayla drove her dad to the airport. We went to supper at the Crab Pot restaurant on the Seattle waterfront. We didn’t get back to the RV park until about 10:30 PM.
